Kingston, Luzerne County- McCarthy Tire in Kingston offered full-service fill-ups for $2.99 a gallon while supplies lasted on Frirday.
The company's vice-president said he expected the 8,000 gallon tank to run dry sometime this afternoon. As you can imagine, cars lined Pierce Street, waiting for a turn beginning at 7AM. The tanks ran dry around 4PM.
Friday's cheap gas comes one-day after several gas stations in the area hit the $4.00 a gallon mark.
