SHENANDOAH, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- Police are investigating another attack against a Latino man in Shenandoah. Police say three men assaulted Javier Alcala Junior this past Friday. It happened at a friend's home on Chestnut Street . Alcala told police he was bound and blindfolded during the attack. He lost consciousness and woke up out on the street. The attack comes less than two months after a racially charged beating death of an illegal immigrant. That case launched Shenandoah into the national media spotlight. Right now police are not considering this beating a hate crime. But a national Latino coalition is calling for a civil rights investigation.
