EXETER, LUZERNE COUNTY- A spectacular fire engulfed a woodworking business in Exeter Tuesday evening as dozens of firefighters battled it.
It broke out at the corner of Lincoln and Park Steets around 6 P. M. and quickly went to three alarms. Firefighters from a number of area companies battled the blaze for more than 5 hours, but the building was destroyed.
Firefighters say at times they lost water pressure from hydrants. There's no word on what caused that problem. Power was also cut to the neighborhood for safety reasons as crews fought the flames.
Nobody was injured in the fire and a dog was rescued from inside. A State Police Fire Marshal will be at the scene Wednesday to investigate what sparked the inferno. | |
