3 Arrested for Deadly Snyder Co. Shooting - Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 5:50PM EST
MONROE TWP., SNYDER COUNTY- State police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened late Monday night near Hummels Wharf.
It happened just before midnight at an apartment at the corner of North Susquehanna Trail and Runyan Road. Police tell Eyewitness News 19-year-old Steven Rodriguez was shot in Monroe Township. He died at Sunbury Hospital a short time later.
Three men are now in custody in connection with that shooting. They are 25-year-old Ibrahim Wells of Mill Hall, 27-year-old David Cannie, Jr. of Philadelphia, and 25-year-old Abdul Walker of Williamsport.
State Police say the three men entered Rodriguez's apartment and shot him once in the leg and once in the chest.
They then fled in a car and crashed in New Columbia after a short police chase. They were arraigned and sent to the Snyder County Jail without bail. | |
