BANKS TOWNSHIP, CARBON COUNTY- Four people facing charges in connection with an armed robbery in Carbon County are behind bars.

The hold-up happened Thursday afternoon at Tresckow Super Food in Banks Township. Pennsylvania State Police said two masked men threatened the clerk with a handgun and stole money and cigarettes before running off.

Police searched the area before arresting 19 year old Robert Pendergast of Freeland and 17 year old Curtis Depuy of Tresckow. Also charged were 19 year old Lea Wolfe of McAdoo and Amy Keiper of Freeland for driving the getaway car and providing a change of clothes.

All 4 were formally charged overnight and are jailed on 100-thousand dollars bail.
