TAMAQUA, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- People lined the streets of Tamaqua Saturday afternoon for the 55th Annual Schuylkill County FirefightersÕ Parade.

Volunteers showed off more than 200 fire trucks and other emergency vehicles in the parade. Smokey Bear joined the firefighters on a truck.

People stood as the military band performed -- with hummers in tow.

Several local high school cheerleaders and bands performed in the parade. Proud parents tell Eyewitness News the Tamaqua Area High School band members were wearing their new school uniforms.
