HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY- While you're driving past road construction sites, you might see signs stating the project was funded by the government.

The new signs inform motorists funding for new road projects was secured by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The money to develop the signs came out of the 1-billion dollars in stimulus money the state received for roads and bridge projects.

The cost? $60,000! PennDOT defends the signs saying drivers want to know and need to know how the stimulus money is being spent -- even with the high price tag.
