JESSUP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY-"nats...Beep..beep..tones Lackawanna County Comm Center calling truck two...Lackawanna County Comm Center calling truck two ladder....Comm Center to Captain Robeson. Lackawanna County Comm Center regrets to announce that Captain James Robeson answered his last call on January 6th 2008 at 7:11"

It is one last attempt to reach Captain James Robeson. And all of these 9-1-1- dispatchers can only wish that they would get a response..but as they watch his funeral on WBRE TV on Thursday They know the harsh reality of it all.
Tom Dubas is Director of Lackawanna County 9-1-1 ,"Well tradition is when a fallen firefighter responds to his last call we announce that he has passed away. It's done out of respect for him those who served and worked with him."

And for many in the 9-1-1 center it has been a very very difficult day.

Dubas adds "They do this willingly they put their lives on the line everyday but we feel an obligation weing that we are the people who send them there. If we don't get enough information,if we don't do our job we would put thir lives in jeopardy..we want to do it right."

Area firefighters really came together to support their fallen brother and his city on Thursday. Every fire station in Scranton was covered and manned by firefighters from around the area......as final tribute to Captain Robeson.
