SCOTRUN - Long holiday weekends like this one are important to the Pocono's biggest industry, tourism. But with the economy in trouble many worried profits might fall.
While the economy is drowning family budgets, it seems some still try to float money for good times. Rooms at the Great Wolf Lodge and Indoor Water Park sold out. This holiday weekend has been booked solid since November.

"We're finding that most of the people are enjoying staying close to home and we are very driveable," said Laura Cosmillo the Director of Sales and Marketing at Great Wolf in the Poconos.

Eyewitness News met a bunch of kids from New York. They were part of group of more than 40 people. They loved the water park. "All the different variety of water slides and the wave pool and all that stuff. It's a lot of fun," said Cassidy Foxx.

Families said they had to find ways to vacation because you can't put a price on a child's smile. "You work all year long and the kids are in school. You gotta make time for the kids," said Paul Anziloti. He was part of that big group from New York. He said this was his third visit to Great Wolf and there's no way he'd take the fun away from his kids. He explained, "Cutting it would be a very difficult thing to do because you want to make the time to spend with them."
