Scotty has a fixed glance, full of hope.
His Caseworker Frank Brown says, "He's a boy that needs a lot of attention and guidance, which he hasn't had a lot in his life."
Scotty, who is 15, lives in a group home with other teenage boys near Sunbury. He has a lot of interests, like reading and video games.
But his biggest interest is in getting adopted.
He says, "I'd just like to have a family. Both parents. Brother, sister, dog, cat. Doesn't matter."
As an outlet, he started drawing a few years ago to pass the time.
So, we helped introduce him to King's College Professor Georgiana Bart. She sat down with him for a drawing session. She says, "Leaning to draw is just like anything else. You need practice. You need to slow down your eye and look at things." Now he'll have the tools to do just that. Scotty walked away from his art session with a sketch pad and pencils from Georgiana, and a smile on his face. He also walked away with the continued hope of sharing his art skills with a new family someday.
