A donation from the heart helps a Schuylkill county mother and father recover from tragedy.

Last month fire killed two of their three children.

One was a kindergartner at the North Schuylkill Elementary School.

Students and teachers from North Schuylkill Elementary school gave Angie Klinger a big gift: a 27 hundred dollar gift card.

Klinger said, "The outpouring, it's amazing to me that so many people care so much that they would do this for us."

The gift comes after Klinger lost so much.

Two of her children, 5 year old victor, and 3 year old Audrey, died when their home went up in flames last month, in Ashland.

Klinger says, "I wonder where he'd be now and i wonder how tall he would have been and how pretty Audrey was."

North Schuykill elementary faculty said they didn't think twice about raising money to help.

Victors kindergarten teacher Margaret Bernosky says, "It was very devastating because I have children of my own and of course when you do, you put yourself into their place."

Teachers like Bernosky brought money in, and students raided their piggy banks, all to help out a family in need.

6th grader Kayla Barnes was friends with Victor.

She says, “It was a good idea that we did it because i used to help him out in class and he was a really nice kid. He touched my heart."

The school says another tribute is on the way.

In memory of the Klingers, the parent teacher organization plans to build a memorial garden, right next to the school, with a stone marker that says - in memory of our fallen angels.

That should be ready by late spring.

But right now, Klinger says she's using the donation for the only child she has left, 18 month old Gunner.

"It's all going to go to gunner. Anything he needs, he's going to get," says Klinger.
