A Touching Crossing of Paths

A Touching Crossing of Paths - Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 04:13AM EST

Reported by: Eyewitness News
Sunday May 23 2010
0/ 5 rating DALLAS, LUZERNE COUNTY -- There was a very touching crossing of paths at Misericordia Universitys graduation ceremony. The commencement speaker was retired U. S. ambassador Prudence Bushnell.

She warned the United States of the genocide in Rowanda back in 1994. It so happened that two of this year's graduates were survivors of that genocide - Regis Rugemanshuro and Michael Muhumuza.

Eyewitness News caught up with Bushnell and Rugemanshuro after the ceremony. Both were thinking of the future.

Rugemanshuro will spend one more year in school getting his MBA. He said he was excited to meet ambassador Bushnell.
