STROUDSBURG - A man accused of murdering one of his children and brutally beating another is about to head to trail. The court chose the jury that will hear McKinley Warren's story.

Testimony in his trial starts Monday.

When asked how it felt to be this close to trail Warren replied, "I'm happy to go to trial."

It's a case eight years in the making. McKinley Warren will face a jury next week. That jury will hear two separate sets of charges.

"Both sets of charges are extremely serious," said Defense Attorney Brett Reigel.

The first is a murder charge. Police say Warren killed his daughter Jessica Bock in 2000. She was two and a half years old.
When asked if he killed her Warren replied, "No."

Warren says the toddler died after she fell out of a car. Doctors said it looked like abuse. "I got nothing to say to her family but I miss my daughter," he said.

The second set of charges involve abuse of Warren's three year old son Isaiah in 2007.

"The challenge I think in general is for the jury to be able to separate the incidents one from the other," said Reigel. He is defending Warren on those charges. And he said, "There is another individual involved here, Cindy."

Cindy is Warren's wife. She agreed to testify against him. She'll try to convince the jury he is a criminal. Reigel said, "Whether Cindy will be able to do that given who and what she is. I don't know." When asked to explain his comment he said, "You'll have to watch the trial for that."

Reigel wouldn't reveal much about his defense strategy but said he is looking forward to trial. Warren has another attorney defending him for the murder case. He declined to comment.
