BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY - Hundreds of people came together Saturday in Columbia County to talk about the importance of alternative energy.
More than 20 vendors took part in an alternative energy expo at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. From using wind power to trying out solar energy, people demonstrated ways to help save the environment.
With the cost of gas and oil continuing to go up, experts say the time to act is now.
"Coal and oil are eventually going to run out some day but we're always going to have wind and the sun. We'll always have renewable things like grass and wood and things that continue to grow and renew themselves," Dan Broadt from TPC Power Center said.
Besides new solutions, experts also talked about common sense energy saving techniques.
The expo will continue Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Columbia County. | |
