COURTDALE, LUZERNE COUNTY-At the height of this storm.. highways and roads turned into ice skating rinks..
In Luzerne County's Back Mountain an nasty accident on route 3-0-9 in Courtdale.
Becky and Stephen Edmondson were heading to a doctor's appointment when they lost control on an icy curve hit some rocks and rolled over.
Stephen Edmondson told us.. "The back end all of the sudden just kicked out and there was nothing I could even do to react
I was just praying to god that we didn't die."

The couple had to climb out of the window to get out of the wreckage.
They say it could've been much worse they were planning to bring their 3 year-old son along.
