Animals Killed in Snyder County Barn Fire - Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 6:25PM EST

PENN CREEK TWP., SNYDER COUNTY- A Snyder County barn is in ruins and several animals are dead after a massive fire destroys the building.
It happened just after midnight along Middle Creek Road in Penn Township. Three horses, a pony and one bull died in the fire.

1,500 bales of hay helped fuel the flames. Volunteers from 12 fire companies responded to the 4-alarm blaze.

A state police fire marshal is expected to investigate how the fire started.
