BEAR CREEK TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY-- For the second time in a week there's been a deadly crash on a stretch of Route 115 in Luzerne County. It happened around 5:00 Tuesday evening near the Bear Creek Charter School. Police say the Fatmir Mece of East Stroudsburg, the driver of a pickup truck in the southbound lanes lost control and slammed into a northbound car. The driver of the car was killed. Police identified the driver as 45-year-old Kimberly Biggs Keil of WIlkes-Barre.
There were snow showers in the area at the time of the crash and police described conditions as "slick." However it's not clear if weather played any role in the accident. This is the same stretch of road that another deadly crash happened late last week and where former Luzerne County President Judge Chester Muroski wrecked his car early last week. | |
