Another Job Fair Held on Montage Mountain - Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 10:15PM EST
MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- People came out to Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain to apply for seasonal jobs.
The pavilion held a "Rock Star Job Fair looking for more than 200 workers for the upcoming concert season. Jjobs include everything from parking and ticket takers to concessions, housekeeping and security.
People who showed up are glad there's work available. Robert Petrosky of Scranton said, "The way the economy is, I'm surprised anybody is hiring. It's kind of nice that somebody's putting advertisements out there for employment. And that's one of the reasons I came up here."
Don Jones of West Pittston added, "I'm surprised at how few people are up here, actually. I thought it would be a lot more crowded."
Toyota Pavilion will hold a second job fair in two weeks. It's happening Saturday May 23rd from 11 to 5. | | |
