Williamsport, Lycoming County-
You still have time to get your H1N1 flu vaccine. And it's free.
The clinics started Friday in Williamsport and Sayre. They will continue Saturday from 8am to 4pm.
This round of swine flu clinics has no restrictions. Anyone who wants a vaccine can go in and get one.
Officials say the vaccines will protect you against another wave of swine flu expected to hit the region.
PA Department of Health employee Janet Hessert said, "(There’s) no time frame on that, but they do anticipate a third wave coming through. So we really want to encourage folks to get vaccinated now so that they have immunity before that third wave would hit."
Health officials say they have enough doses to vaccinate everyone who shows up. Walk-ins are welcome.
The Williamsport clinic is being held at 1000 Commerce Park Drive.
There are also clinics in Luzerne and Lackawanna counties. | |
