WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Fire investigators say careless smoking is to blame for a weekend fire. It forced more than 100 people from their homes.

It happened at the Sherman Hills Apartment Complex in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday. Many of the 130 residents are staying with family and friends.

But officials say they may be allowed to return to their apartments Tuesday. Right now workers are cleaning out and repairing the building.
