MONTROSE, SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY - Doctor Stephen Scher wants another new trial.

As expected, lawyers for the 67-year-old filed an appeal in Susquehanna County court on Thursday morning. Attorneys for Scher say he was denied a fair trial because of judicial misconduct and because his most recent re-trial was not moved out of Montrose.

The former allergist was convicted of shooting and killing his friend Martin Dillon a second time two weeks ago.
