GILLETT, BRADFORD COUNTY- The father of the man who killed two Bradford County Sheriff's deputies three years ago will remain behind bars.

The Superior Court of Pennsylvania denied the appeal of Arlan Briggs on Wednesday. Briggs was convicted last year on two counts of hindering apprehension after his son Dustin shot and killed two deputies back in 2004.

Dustin Briggs was caught after a 30 hour manhunt and found guilty of the crimes.

Now his father's conviction has been upheld. Arlan Briggs was originally sentenced to six months in prison. He's also serving time for a cocaine conviction back in September.
