Arrest in Bear Creek Home Break-In - Monday, September 10, 2007 at 5:58PM EST

BEAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY - State Police have a suspect in custody after a Luzerne County home break-in Monday morning.
The target was a house in the 3600-block of Bear Creek Boulevard. Investigators say the suspect broke into the home through the front door just before 11:00 AM and stole several pieces of jewelry.
An alert neighbor saw the suspect, called police and followed the bandit into Wilkes-Barre, where he was taken into custody. The bandit has been identified as Eugene Jordan of Scranton.
People who live in the neighborhood say they're surprised about the broad daylight heist.
"Its real close. It gets one concerned a little bit," neighbor Bill Pfeiffer said.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned Monday night in Luzerne County.
