Arrival/Obama

Arrival/Obama - Friday, September 5, 2008 at 9:49PM EST

Friday, Sep 5, 2008 @ 09:49pm EST
Avoca, Luzerne County -

This was the view from the other side of the fence at the airport in Avoca. The arrival of Presidential Nominee Barack Obama was closed to the press. Some members of the public say they had problems too.
A dozen Barack Obama supporters came to catch a glimpse of their candidate in his first visit here as the party's nominee. But as soon as Obama's plane touched down it turned around. Then he and members of the National Press got off the plane with their backs to the crowd.
Jack Bert, of Ransom, tried to capture the image on paper. For now Gene Scatena says he's still an undecided Republican.
Senator Obama is leaving Pennsylvania today for a private event in New Jersey tomorrow.
