WYALUSING, BRADFORD COUNTY- State Police say a woman stole nearly $23,000 from a Bradford County business.
47-year-old Debbie Roman of Dushore, in Sullivan County, is facing nearly 90 counts of forgery and theft. She was the Assistant Manager of Morris Market in Wyalusing. State Police say Roman stole nearly $23,000 by forging 29 business checks.
Investigators say Roman forged the name of Jennifer Fourney, another assistant store manager, on the checks to cover her tracks. “I think she should do some jail time. Honestly. I really do. I don't think she should get a slap on the hand for it, that’s for sure," Fourney told Eyewitness News.
Roman is free on $5,000 unsecured bail. Her preliminary hearing is expected to be held early next month.
