WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY- Police in Wilkes-Barre Township made quick work of a theft case at a jewelry store.

Investigators say a man was caught shoplifting Wednesday afternoon at the 'Van Scoy' store on Mundy Street.

Alert clerks saw the crime and called for help.

Police surrounded the building and took the suspect into custody without incident.

His name has not yet been released.
