The fair has everything you could want, food, rides and fun. Tens of thousands have already come through the gates but many of the regulars have noticed the difference in attendance.

"Not as many as normal because of the rain and all but it's okay," Garth Labar of Honesdale said.

Fair officials say one night they got more than three inches of rain alone washing out activities.

"We're about 1500 or so behind from last year, but taking in all the rain, we're doing pretty well," fair president Roger Dirlam said.

On Friday afternoon, the skies were clear as people took turns on the MegaDrop. The fair's newest attraction drops riders 135 feet.

"The first time it scared me but now it's a lot of fun. Honestly, I've gone on it maybe 30 times," T. J. Carton of Tyler Hill said.

Agriculture is also big at the Wayne County fair.

Dominique Jonas of Cold Spring was crowned *Junior Champion* with 4H for her two-year-old cow Emma. She says raising livestock takes hard work and practice.

"A lot of hard work. You have to make sure she leads right. It's better if you get her out in the showing so she's used to it," Jonas said.

Besides being fun, the fair is also a big fundraiser for places like the Bethany United Methodist Church. They're selling ice cream sandwiches for one dollar.

"We just felt rather than raise the price, we were gonna hold it at a dollar this year," member Beverly Buckland said.

The Wayne County fair wraps up on Saturday night. The gates and midway will officially close at 11:00 PM. Admission is only $8.00. That includes parking, rides and shows.
