Eyewitness News has learned Attorney Robert Powell has had his license to practice law suspended.

Powell admitted to paying former judges Ciavarella and Conahan more than $700,000. The money was for services at the juvenile detention center PA Child Care.

The disciplinary board chose not to wait for sentencing before temporarily suspending the attorney's license.

Powell faces up to 27-months in prison. His sentencing date has not been set.
