PALMERTON, CARBON COUNTY- Police in Carbon County are investigating the death of a baby. It happened in a home at on Edgemont Avenue in Palmerton. It was around 12:30 Wednesday morning.

Investigators told Eyewitness News the baby is 11-month old Kayla Taschler. She was brought to the Palmerton hospital by her mother, Kimberly just before 1:00 a. m. But at that point, the baby was already dead.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
