SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Remembering a little boy with cancer Friday night and raising money for other children was the goal of the "Snow Ball" at the Scranton Cultural Center.
Timmy Kelly died from cancer when he was only 5 years old. Now his mom and friends are raising money in his honor for a children's museum. Timmy’s Mom Lexie Kelly told us how she came up with the idea. “We visited the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia when he was sick and we thought it would be lovely to do a children's museum for Northeast Pennsylvania," she said.
More than 1,000 people attended the children's snowball event which featured music, dancing, candy and ice cream sundaes all for the museum. | |
