SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A Scranton man will spend at least the next four years of his life behind bars for a Lackawanna County bank robbery.

Tuesday morning John Kasper, 41, was sentenced to spend between four and 10 1/2 years in prison.

Kasper admitted to stealing more than $1,300 dollars from the 'Community Bank and Trust' on September 18th.

Kasper was nabbed just minutes after the hold-up by two Scranton police officers, as he was walking along the railroad tracks near West Lackawanna and Seventh Avenues.

Prosecutors say Kasper committed the robbery after walking away from a Luzerne County work-release detail.
