DURYEA, LUZERNE COUNTY- The Democratic Presidential candidate was in our area Friday afternoon addressing workers at a Luzerne County factory.
He talked mainly about jobs and the economy, but also talked about John McCain's speech Thursday night at the RNC and the differences between the two candidates.
Obama toured Schott Glass in Duryea as part of his town hall style visit with workers and other invited guests. It was not open to the public.
After addressing the group for about 20 minutes, he took questions from the audience for almost half an hour.
Obama flew into the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Airport around 11:00 A. M. before heading to Duryea before noon. This was his only scheduled stop in Pennsylvania Friday afternoon. He's headed for New Jersey next. | |
