PLUNKETTS CREEK TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY- A woman was injured and her dog killed in a bear attack in Plunketts Creek Township Monday night.

A woman let her dog out as she tended the bird feeder. Suddenly a black bear attacked.

The woman has head, arm and leg injuries and was taken to Williamsport Hospital.

Her dog had to be put down. Game officials are trying to trap the bear.
