BEAR CREEK TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY -- A Luzerne County highway tragedy has a school community calling on state police for help.

A crash last Tuesday on Route 115 in Bear Creek Township killed 45-year-old Kimberly Biggs Keil.

The founding member of Bear Creek Community Charter School died after an oncoming passing pickup truck slammed into her car.

The school's CEO, Jim Smith, drafted a letter to PSP Wyoming barracks Captain John Dougherty. It calls for additional state police resources to enforce the speed limit near the school on Route 115.
