SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- Allen Bellas was in federal court in Scranton this morning to plead guilty to charges of taking a bribe.

Bellas admitted to taking a $2,000 bribe when he worked with the Luzerne County Redevelopment Authority.

Bellas was also a member of the Wyoming Valley West school board. He resigned from both positions last year.

The bribery charges are only connected to the Redevelopment Authority.

When sentenced Bellas will likely face about 6 months in prison.
