PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY-The Wilkes-Barre YMCA is getting ready for a Fourth of July tradition.
Bernie's Memorial three mile run

The race will be on Friday.
On Wednesday night, Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tom Leighton presented the family of the late Bernie Hardagon with a key to the city.
Hardagon was the founder of the race.
He passed away in 1994 and the race named in his honor.
More than 500 runners and walkers will compete in this year's run.
The event was held at Leggios in plains township.
