NANTICOKE - Bikers made some noise in Wyoming so that someday Olympic fans can make some noise for a young lady from West Pittston.
Stephanie Jallen wants to win a skiing medal in the Paralympics. And the bikers rallied in Nanticoke to raise money to support her dream.
The 12-year-old has a rare disease called Child Syndrome. It forced doctors to amputate one of her legs when she was a baby. It also prevented one of her arms from growing fully.
"She's just an amazing child and she'll do anything for anybody and we're just trying to help her out and give back to her," said Road Master David Corby.
Jallenn recently organized a fund raiser for a friend who was in an accident. She even gave away money she had been saving for herself.
David Hooper of the Wyoming Valley Motorcycle Club said, "She was there for Frank when he needed help so we're here for her when she needs our help."
More than 300 bikers road in to enjoy some food, fun and music all while helping the future Olympian.
She said, "I'm so overwhelmed. It's amazing that all these people will come out here and do this for me."
Her mother Deb added, "Every time I turn around I get choked up, the turnout is amazing."
An amazing turnout, for an amazing young lady, who looks to have an amazing future ahead of her.
"I believe in her and I hope some day I see her in the Olympics and have a gold medal around her neck," said Jallen's sponsor Bob Wineman.
