UNION TOWNSHIP, UNION COUNTY -- A worker was electrocuted while working on a billboard along Route 15 near Winfield, Union County.

It happened just after 7:30 this morning. The worker was pronounced dead on the scene. His body was brought down from the sign using a ladder truck from the Mifflinburg Fire Company.

The sign stands high above the Winfield Auction House and is visible from Route 15.

WRAK Radio reports that the man works for Lamar Advertising in Williamsport. His name will not be released until his family is notified.
