BLACK CREEK TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A Luzerne County house is in ruins after an early morning fire.

It broke out around 5:30 this morning in Black Creek Township on Rock Glen Road. George and Linda Naus just bought the house two weeks ago and were in the process of moving in. The house is now a total loss.

Firefighters say because of the house's location, they didn't stand a chance of saving it. Nuremberg-Weston Volunteer Fire Company Chief Joe Lescowitch said, "There is no hydrant system in the area. Everything was tanked in about a mile and a half away from a farmer's pond, so, that didn't help things. But like, as I said, it was gone before we got here. "

No one was inside the home when the fire started. So far, there's no word on a cause.
