SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- Drivers can expect weekday delays on a stretch of Interstate 81 in Lackawanna County this week.
A blasting project is scheduled to get underway along I-81 southbound in Scranton between the River and Davis Street exits.
PennDOT says the blasting will create a third access road as part of the St. Mary's Cemetery bridge replacement project.
State police rolling roadblocks should begin around 9:00 A. M. each day, Monday through Friday, for the next month. The work is weather dependent.
The new bridge is expected to be complete in the summer of 2012. | | |
