BRANDONVILLE, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- Police in Schuylkill County are investigating a body that was found in rural Brandonville.

Crews were called to the scene near East Union Township late Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Pottsville Republican Herald Newspaper, WYLN TV and the Eyewitness news crew at the scene it's the body of a man.

Police kept news crews far from the scene.

It was reported that the man was found on Old Mill Road near the bottom of a bridge.

He was naked, heavily bruised and with evidence of a gun shot wound to the back of the head.

State and local police, including East Union Township were on the scene investigating.

Police have not released many details.
