MONROE TWP., SNYDER COUNTY- Crews in Snyder County have recovered the body of a teenager who fell out of a canoe Sunday night in the Susquehanna River.
A search had been going on since Sunday night for 19-year old Vladyslav Mitrenko of the Ukraine. He was with his brother and two others canoeing. Their canoe capsized when it got too close to the PPL dam by the Sunbury Generation Plant.
A fisherman was able to rescue three of the men, but Mitrenko got pulled under the water.
The Northumberland County Communications Center confirms Mitrenko's body was recovered this morning.
