WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY – Another guilty plea is expected to be filed as early as Tuesday in the ongoing federal corruption probe in Luzerne County.

Gerald Bonner, a member of the Luzerne County Housing Authority, was indicted in September on a charge of taking a bribe. I-Team Lead Investigator Andy Mehalshick has learned that Bonner now intends to plead guilty to that charge.

Federal officials confirm that the U. S. Attorney filed paperwork late Monday indicating Bonner will not stand trial. Bonner is set to appear in federal court Tuesday for pre-trial motions. Eyewitness News is being told he will instead enter a guilty plea.
