The boss at Boscov's says the family-owned store is not collapsing and will be well stocked for back to school and the holidays.
The company CEO denies a report this weekend in the New York Post that claims Boscov's department stores are in financial trouble.
According to the report, nearly half of the stores suppliers have stopped sending merchandise because the store can not make payments.
Boscov's responded saying yes, sales are down, and some payments may have been made late, but the company is making things right and the company will not seek bankruptcy protection.
The first Boscov’s store opened in 1911.
