MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A boy is expected to be okay after he was pulled from the bottom of a pool and given CPR at a birthday party.

Rescue crews were called just before 6:00 P. M. to a Glenmaura home where a 7-year-old boy was found at the bottom of a pool.

Police say it happened during a birthday party. Someone found the 7-year-old at the bottom of the pool. They quickly jumped in and pulled him out of the pool. He was not breathing.

A doctor attending the party performed CPR. After several minutes the boy coughed up some water and began breathing.

Eyewitness News was there as the boy was wheeled into an ambulance. He was taken to the hospital to be checked out but police say he was awake and alert.
