WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A boy was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car late this morning.

It happened in Wilkes-Barre on North Washington Street near City Hall just after 11:00 A. M. Witnesses tell us the boy was on a bike and darted out into traffic when he was struck.

The boy was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley. There's no word on his name or condition. Wilkes-Barre police are investigating.
