SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY

Customers were waiting in line Thursday morning as Brunetti's Super Market reopened in West Scranton. The market was forced to close last Sunday after a fire extinguisher was used to put out a small electrical blaze. Residue from the extinguisher spread throughout the store and the City Health Inspector ordered all food products thrown out as a safety precaution.

Employees, suppliers, and family friends spent days after the incident cleaning the store and restocking over two hundred dolars worth of food products that were scrapped.

Owner John Brunetti opened the doors at 8am Thursday, then learned that his latest granddaughter had been born in Florida at 8:01!
