Regular customers of Brunetti's Supermarket in West Scranotn were surprised to find the doors closed and locked when they showed up to do their shopping on Monday.

Fire broke out in an oven there Sunday and a cloud of chemicals from an extinguisher coated food products on many shelves. The City Health Inspector ordered all of those products to be thrown out. The products filled 6 huge dumpsters outside the popular neighborhood market. One market manager estimated the loss at between one and two hundred thousand dollars. The building itself was not damaged by the fire.

A Professional Cleaning Company was on the scene Monday working o make sure all of the food storage shelves were clear of any residue from the chemical fire extinguisher.

A store spokesman said he expecte to have the market reopened and fully stocked by Thursday morning.
