LUZERNE COUNTY Ð There was lots of emotion and tension as two elderly victims of a brutal home invasion testified against their two alleged attackers in Luzerne County Court Wednesday.

Martha and Nick Caputo of Hazleton, both in their late 70s, leave the courtroom moments after they told their story of a brutal home invasion. It happened November 15, 2008.

Investigators say David Pinkey and Kevin Fisher stormed into the CaputoÕs South Pine Street home and attacked them. They are on trial this week.

The Caputos say the men were wearing masks. One carried a gun and the other brass knuckles.

Mrs. Caputo says one man held a gun to her head and demanded cash, then kept on hitting her in the face and head.

Mr. Caputo testified he was upstairs. He says he heard his wife screaming and crying. He came down and he too was attacked. The husband and wife say they fought back. He was able to pull off the mask of one attacker, a man police say was fisher.

Both suffered serious injuries and doctor testified they both could have died. Both say they will never feel safe in their home again, but will never leave because it is their home.

"We're happy that it' coming to an end to give us peace of mind more for my family,Ó said Martha.

"I agree with my wife I'm glad this thing is all over with for today anyway," added Nick.

Late today two other men who plead guilty to plotting the attack say that Pinkney and Fisher were the hitmen.
