SLOCUM TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY -- State police are trying to track down a burglar who made off with thousands of dollars from a Luzerne County VFW.

It happened early Friday morning in Slocum Township at the Veterans of Foreign Wars home on Nuangola Road.

Someone got into the bar, found the safe and took all the cash totaling about $2,000. Anyone with information should call state police at Shickshinny or 9-1-1.
